As I have said before my faculty thinks that SkillsPlus is easy to use and to update, every semester. For me, it is a way to improve our curriculum. We have been working hard on getting all our 12 programs third-party accreditation, and TrainWorks is an added piece of data that has helped us. No doubt this is a valuable tool for us at CTE.

The transition from our own in house system to SkillsPlus system was seamless.  We sent them the data and they converted it to their system.  From working in the computer field for the last 40 years I can tell you that it was great to have the support of the systems people at TrainWorks. They made for a very smooth transition. 

Now, because the SkillsPlus system is Web based, our teachers can access the student files through the Internet, both at school and at home.  Each individual teacher is responsible for entering his or her own student data every time a student task is performed. Each individual teacher can also print reports for any of their students at any time. 

I have personally found the support to be outstanding.  They are always there to help solve any problems that we may have. I would strongly recommend the system to anyone who is considering a fully automated system that has been designed for Vocational Schools.

The Web-based system is effective, efficient and easy to use. One of our technological neophytes said during a two hour initial training session, "This is simple."  I think that says it all. Our instructors are happy with the system.

The cost is manageable. The cost per student compared to the service provided is a bargain.

The system is adaptable. Each time that we have made suggestions for report changes or system changes they have been done. 

Personal service is superior. (They) are right there.  You get to know them and they get to know you and your needs.  You never feel that you are just another customer to them.  They make you feel like you are their only customer.

I would recommend without hesitation the "SkillsPlus" system to anyone who is considering a program to track and manage student progress.

You have met or exceeded our expectations when it comes to responding to our requests, and we were amazed when you rewrote the screens so that SkillsPlus would work on a Palm handheld. I know this was a curve we threw at you late in the game, but your response was exceptional and you have really hit a home run! 

Most of the technical issues (few that they are) have been resolved within 24 hours or so, and your staff has always been courteous in their dealings with us. 

One of the "extra" benefits from using SkillsPlus that I have seen is how often faculty come to me asking if they can update the competency lists, that new items have been added, or something deleted, and they really want the record to reflect what the students did and how well they did it. In the past, the competency lists were often updated only every few years, now it can almost be anytime.
